Our Mission & Vision

The Rollins Epidemiology Fellowship’s mission is to enhance Georgia’s state and local public health programs by training exceptional epidemiologists who passionately serve their communities through critical surveillance, outbreak response, and general public health practice. With our mission, we aim to support new epidemiologists and increase epidemiologic capacity throughout the state to serve communities in Georgia.

Program Overview

The Rollins Epidemiology Fellowship Program is a 2-year service-learning program for recent public health graduates. Fellows will be assigned to 1 of the 18 Georgia health districts (open link in new tab) or the Georgia Department of Public Health. Current salary for a Rollins Epidemiology Fellow is $57,000 with benefits.

This exciting opportunity allows Fellows to gain applied epidemiology experience while completing competency-based trainings and engaging in academic mentorship.

This program provides opportunities to share experiences, challenges, best practices and ideas for integration into health departments and assisting with emerging public health priorities.

The Fellows have opportunities to complete significant practice projects and presentations with an emphasis on data analysis, health equity, and community partnership.
