What excites you most about the fellowship program: I’m excited to gain skills as an epidemiologist and gain experience in the world of public health.
What do you love most about epidemiology: I like the sense of being behind-the-scenes helping the community. Honestly, I don’t truly know what it’s like to be an epidemiologist, so I’m excited to gain knowledge and learn!
Epi Interests: I’m interested in Opioid abatement, mental health, and foodborne pathogens. I haven’t gotten to do a lot of work in maternal and child health, but I imagine I’d love to work on initiatives that improve outcomes for women as well.
Hobbies and favorite pastimes: I love reading, taking long walks and identifying birds. I also love playing board games with friends and family, and scouting out good food and coffee!
Fun fact: I spent a year teaching in Japan!
