What excites you most about the fellowship program: What excites me most about the Rollins COVID-19 Epidemiology Fellowship is the opportunity for junior-level epidemiologists to engage in public health practice and meet district-level needs and goals. I am excited about the two-year program to focus on advancing health equity and for the invaluable opportunity to grow and develop as a public health professional
and epidemiologist.
What excites you most about working in your assigned health district: I am excited to work with the Clayton County Health District for the
chance to work and learn alongside dedicated public health experts and stakeholders who are invested in and passionate about health promotion in the district.
What do you love most about epidemiology: I love epidemiology for inspiring people who are passionate about public health to understand complex situations, apply evidence-based methods, and affect positive change in their communities at multiple levels. I am passionate about infectious diseases, infection control,
antimicrobial stewardship, maternal and child health, health equity, and science communication.
Hobbies and favorite pastimes: Some of my hobbies outside of epidemiology are making playlists, watching sci-fi and mystery
shows, reading, and working out.
Fun Fact: My favorite books are by Atul Gawande and Toni Morrison.
