What excites you most about the fellowship program: The mentorship aspect excites me the most about this fellowship program. Being able to work with both a county level public health district and a major school of
public health offers me the unique opportunity to be mentored by academic researchers and public
health officials. I am hoping this fellowship will allow me to develop a better understanding of how to
apply public health principals to actual practice.
What excites you most about working in your assigned health district: What excites me the most about working with the Dekalb health district specifically is being able to work with the diverse populations that live within a major city. Additionally, I am also excited to see how interventions are tailored to these populations.
What do you love most about epidemiology: I love that epidemiology is such a broad field! It is exciting to be able to study
the causes and distributions of health outcomes, and to be able to
potentially change these outcomes using meaningful interventions.
Hobbies and favorite pastimes: I enjoy cooking and listening to music. I am also learning how to ice skate!
Fun Fact: I was an extra on a tv show once!
